This workshop, run along CASP principles, offers a broad overview of systematic review done to QUORUM standards, aiming to identify and critically appraise all relevant studies, and combine them where appropriate to provide more reliable answers to questions than relying on a more haphazardly selected trial or group of trials. This workshop includes a practical exercise critically appraising a published systematic review, with plenary discussion of conclusions drawn from small group work.
An example of a systematic review will be provided but participants are welcome to suggest their own examples if they would like these to be considered for the critical appraisal exercise.
No prior knowledge is required, but this workshop can be tailored to the needs of participants and delivered at any level required.
